Position summary: The Wealth Advisor is responsible for generating new clients; supporting The Progression of Wealth planning process, managing assigned client relationships. Under the direction of the Managing Director, this client facing role requires the incumbent to work collaboratively with the financial planning team and outside client professionals to ensure effective plan development, implementation and monitoring. Client retention and acquisition are key measures of success.
Qualifications required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 3 years of experience in financial planning, tax, or investments.
- CFP designation preferred.
- Relationship management experience preferred.
- NASAA 65 required. If not current, then committed to securing within 6 months of hire date.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, etc.)
- Strong client relationship skills
Essential functions and responsibilities:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Responsible for achieving sales and client retention goals.
- Responsible for developing relationships with external professionals and Meridian Bank partners to effectively identify and sell new clients. Engages with prospects and clients to develop, monitor and implement financial and investment plans.
- Become the trusted partner to clients and prospects supporting all aspects of their financial well-being.
- Collaborates with internal and external experts to deliver effective financial strategies to achieve client objectives.
- Develops a knowledge of the client’s entire financial and family situation to ensure financial plans are complete, accurate and remain in line with evolving customer circumstances and needs. Owns the client meeting preparation process using multiple systems to gather and compile relevant information to present in a best-in-class deliverable
- Ensures compliance, quality of advice and excellent customer support
- Maintains composure and confidentiality while exercising appropriate social acumen
- Adheres to securities and investment advisor regulatory compliance obligations
- Timely update client meeting notes, tasks and related information into the CRM

- Coordinates specific work tasks with other employees within the department as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information

- Communicates with management, other supervisors and employees in order to integrate goals and activities
- Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank’s compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc.
